Konabos partnered with Mesa Collections to simplify and optimize their Digital Experience Platform (DXP) infrastructure. The primary objective was to harmonize their digital systems, reducing costs and enhancing performance. Mesa faced challenges due to acquisitions and outdated implementations, making it necessary to centralize content, product, and customer data management while streamlining operations.
As a leading player in the manufacturing and retail sectors, Mesa Collections needed a solution that would not only reduce DXP infrastructure costs but also enhance agility in content delivery, simplify brand onboarding, and minimize the reliance on specialized resources.
Mesa faced multiple challenges, including the need to harmonize and simplify their DXP infrastructure, lower total ownership costs, facilitate easier brand onboarding, reduce reliance on specialized resources, and enhance agility in application and content delivery. Additionally, it was crucial to ensure the new solution was scalable, secure, and efficient while centralizing the management of content, product, and customer data.
To tackle these challenges, Konabos implemented a Modular, Composable DXP architecture. This approach started by migrating smaller brands within Mesa’s portfolio to a pure Composable setup, which was designed to centralize content and product information across various channels.
The key components of the Composable, omnichannel CMS infrastructure included Contentful for content management, Cloudinary for efficient digital asset management, Salsify to centralize and manage product information, Next.js for enhancing front-end performance, and Netlify for streamlined, automated deployments and operational efficiency.
By adopting this modular, headless architecture, Mesa was able to create a flexible, high-performance DXP that dramatically reduced costs and improved agility.
The implementation of the modular DXP brought exceptional results for Mesa Collections, including a 91% reduction in DXP infrastructure costs, 71% savings on CMS-related costs, a 50% improvement in system performance, a 60% reduction in development costs, an 80% faster time-to-market for new content and initiatives, and a 95% reduction in reliance on specialized technical resources.
With the new Composable-based infrastructure, Mesa experienced dramatic improvements in operational efficiency, flexibility, and scalability, enabling them to quickly adapt to new business needs and brand expansion.
