Interest of people in MCP Servers grows, and as it grows, Kentico brings more of the MCP servers to life to improve the experience of working with a variety of Kentico products.
What I noticed during the conversation I had is that it also creates an issue for people not so familiar with all of them to understand which MCP servers should be used for what purposes, or even what they are.
In this article, I will answer the most critical questions and provide a quick review so that all of you are on the same page.
Sean Wright has developed this server as a side project to demonstrate what it can do and how easy it is to extend your Xperience with Kentico using your own MCP servers.
Xperience Community MCP Server runs as part of the XbK application. It means that you have to run your website to make this server available. It works locally and can also work on other servers if you set it up and possibly customize a few things.

Documentation MCP Server is a publicly available remote server that you can connect to from everywhere. You do not need to install it, you only have to set up your AI Client so it knows that this server is available.

This server can be run locally and requires a NodeJS server. The MCP server connects to Xperience by Kentico management API - so it is running as a part of your website (very similar to the Xperience Community MCP Server).
Kentico Content Types MCP is currently in preview mode, so it should not be used for any critical processes you build around it. You may expect many changes to be added to it.
